Foam Matrix Inc. in Inglewood, California has received a 2002 Supplier Innovation Award from The Boeing Co.'s Phantom Works for developing low-cost lightweight composite wings with structural foam core technology originally used to make surfboards.
Phantom Works, the advanced research and progressive growth unit of Boeing, presented the prestigious award to Foam Matrix' President Kent Sherwood at a formal rite held Jan. 23, 2002 at the Boeing drawn out Beach Management Association, Long Beach, California.
